A Degree Designed for Real Life
The Bachelor of Arts in Christian Thought and Practice is not a one-size-fits-all program. Instead, it’s designed to meet you where you are—spiritually, vocationally, and geographically.
Offered entirely online through our partnership with Kairos University, this degree allows you to study from wherever you are. Whether you’re serving in your local church, balancing work and family, or involved in missions, you can structure your learning around your life and your calling. This model puts the power of pace and customization in your hands.
And, with a monthly tuition model of just $300, students can pursue a high-quality theological education without taking on overwhelming debt. At CBI, we believe financial constraints should never stand in the way of God’s call on your life.

What You’ll Study: A Balanced, Biblical Curriculum
The Bachelor of Arts in Christian Thought and Practice requires the completion of 120 credit hours, strategically structured to offer a broad and deep theological education.
General Education Core (30 credits)
The journey begins with courses that equip you for academic success and thoughtful engagement in everyday life. You’ll study topics like personal finance, research and communication, and foundations for lifelong learning—ensuring that you’re not just prepared for ministry, but for holistic living.
Personal Development Core (30 credits)
This portion of the curriculum focuses on your spiritual formation and vocational identity. You’ll engage in courses like Knowing Yourself, Contextual Project, and Vocational Project—each encouraging you to reflect on who God made you to be and how He calls you to serve.
Major in Christian Thought and Practice (60 credits)
At the heart of the program are the biblical and theological courses that ground your faith and prepare you for leadership. You’ll explore Scripture, theology, ethics, pastoral leadership, and Christian history. Courses such as Interpreting Biblical Texts, Coherent Theology, and Christian Ethics are designed not just to inform your mind but to shape your heart and actions.
Whether you’re already involved in ministry or just starting your theological journey, these courses will equip you to think deeply, serve faithfully, and live with purpose.
More Than Classes: A Mentorship-Based Model

One of the most distinctive aspects of this program is its mentorship-based learning model. You won’t be walking this journey alone. Each student is surrounded by a mentor team that walks with them throughout their studies:
- An academic mentor helps guide your theological learning and ensure academic success.
- A vocational mentor supports you in integrating your faith with your career or ministry path.
- A personal mentor encourages your spiritual growth and helps you stay grounded in the community.
This team-based mentorship approach ensures that your education is personal, relevant, and rooted in real-life application. It’s one of the many ways that Kairos—and CBI—believe education should form the whole person, not just fill a mind with information.
Why This Program Stands Out
So, what makes the Bachelor of Arts in Christian Thought and Practice at CBI truly unique?
First, it’s holistic. This isn’t just about getting a degree—it’s about being shaped into the person God is calling you to be. The curriculum is intentionally crafted to form not only your mind, but your heart, your values, and your leadership.
Second, it’s deeply personal. Because of the mentorship model, you’re not just another name in a database. You’re part of a community that knows you, walks with you, and genuinely wants to see you grow in knowledge, character, and calling.
Third, it’s flexible and accessible. Life is busy, and many of our students are balancing jobs, family, ministry, and more. This program is built with that in mind. You can study at your own pace, from your own context, and still benefit from a high-quality, Christ-centered education.
And finally, it’s academically strong. Kairos University is fully accredited and widely respected in the world of theological education. Through our partnership, students at Covenant Bible Institute gain access to that same level of excellence while remaining part of our vibrant, supportive community.
Your Path Doesn’t End Here
The Bachelor of Arts in Christian Thought and Practice is a powerful next step—but it’s also a launchpad. Many students who complete this degree choose to continue their theological journey. Through Kairos and CBI, you can transition directly into a Master of Arts or Master of Divinity program, some of which can be completed in as little as one or two years when combined with your undergraduate work.
In other words, this degree opens doors—both spiritually and academically.
