The Topic: Spiritual Abuse and Church Hurt

Spiritual abuse and church hurt are terms that describe the deep emotional and psychological harm that can occur when individuals in spiritual leadership positions misuse their power or authority, often under the guise of faith. This can include spiritual manipulation, control, emotional neglect, or outright harm disguised as religious teaching. Unfortunately, those who experience spiritual abuse may struggle with feelings of betrayal and isolation. They may lose their trust in God and His people.

In this session, Sandra Golling will explore how these wounds manifest and how individuals can begin the process of healing. Through deep theological reflection, compassion, and practical guidance, the event will equip participants to address the emotional and spiritual scars left by spiritual abuse and church hurt.
