A Call to Renewed Faith and Learning as We Celebrate Easter

Celebrating Easter at CBI

As Easter approaches, we find ourselves drawn back to the central story of our faith—the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For Christians, Easter is more than just a holiday. It is the heartbeat of our hope, the anchor of our faith, and the invitation to live a transformed life in Christ.

At Covenant Bible Institute (CBI), Easter also serves as a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. We’re more than just an academic community; we’re a place where hearts are formed, minds are sharpened, and lives are aligned with the truth of God’s Word. Our mission is to equip followers of Jesus to flourish—spiritually, personally, relationally, and vocationally—and what better time to recommit to that calling than during this season of resurrection and renewal?

Reflecting on Christ’s Sacrifice and Triumph

Easter is a profound celebration of the most important event in human history: Jesus’ victory over sin and death. But to fully appreciate the joy of the resurrection, we must also sit for a moment in the weight of Good Friday.

The crucifixion was not a tragedy of injustice—it was a purposeful act of love. Jesus, the sinless Son of God, willingly laid down His life to redeem a broken world. As Isaiah 53:5 tells us: “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.”

The cross was not the end of the story—it was the turning point. On the third day, Jesus rose from the grave, conquering death and offering eternal life to all who believe. The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15:17: “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.”

But Christ has been raised, and that changes everything. The resurrection is not just something we believe in; it’s something that shapes how we live. It reminds us that death does not have the final word, and sin is defeated. Hope is alive.

This good news is not only to be celebrated once a year. It’s meant to permeate our lives daily. As Romans 6:4 declares: “We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”

We see Easter as more than a date on the calendar—it’s a reminder of what Christ did for us and a time to renew our dedication to Him. At CBI, we do that through community, study, and intentional growth in the Word of God.

The Easter Story at Covenant Bible Institute

CBI’s Mission: Equipping Believers to Flourish

CBI exists to prepare and equip followers of Jesus to live out their faith in every aspect of life. Whether you’re called to pastoral ministry, Christian counseling, missions, or simply want to deepen your personal walk with the Lord, our programs are designed to help you flourish.

Our mission flows directly from the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), where Jesus said: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

We take this call seriously. Through transformative study of Scripture, practical ministry training, and a supportive academic community, Covenant Bible Institute equips believers to be rooted in the Word and ready to serve the world in Jesus’ name.

Easter and Education: A Perfect Pairing

As you reflect on the resurrection this Easter, consider what it might look like to respond with renewed dedication. Maybe that means stepping deeper into your community. Maybe it means finally saying “yes” to that call to ministry. Or maybe it simply means growing in your knowledge of God’s Word.

Education at CBI is not just about information—it’s about transformation. We believe that studying the Bible should change how we live, love, and lead. In the spirit of Easter, we invite you to take the next step in your faith journey with us.
